enhanced skills training for ethnic minorities
Christine Allen, (pictured left), who has built up a wealth of experience in equality and employment fields over recent years, has been appointed to manage the Welsh Contact Centre Forum’s ESTEEM project.
The ESTEEM Project, which is supported by the European Social Fund, tackles issues of social exclusion, skills development and economic growth in marginalised communities.
The project is targeted at but not exclusive to the BME community across the southern arc of Cardiff
Christine, from the Grangetown area, of Cardiff, said: “ESTEEM is a very exciting project which aims to give people, especially those from black and multi ethnic backgrounds, a clear insight into what it is like to work in a contact centre and the kind of careers that are available in this dynamic industry. “
